Overview

Though the Serbian pack has been brought to heel thanks to the downfall of their Alpha, the war is far from over.
Desdemona, a witch of unfathomable power, has escaped the wolves’ wrath, but she will not go quietly into the night. She takes refuge in a place where even the smallest sliver of light does not dare to enter. Though she had to flee, she has not given up on the treasure she wishes to acquire. Meanwhile, there are major changes rippling through the Romanian Grey wolves. Decebel has become Alpha to the Serbian pack in an effort to begin to unite the Canis lupis species. Their numbers are dwindling in the wake of the shortage of true mates and lack of offspring. The wolves are beginning to lose faith and darkness seems to be crashing in on them from all sides.

About Quinn Loftis

Quinn is a wife, mother, nurse, and writer, not necessarily in that order. She lives in beautiful North West Arkansas with her husband, son and Nora their Doberman pinscher. She loves writing, reading, and crocheting. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, favorite book(s) is Pride and Prejudice, The Alpha and Omega Series by Patricia Briggs, and the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. She loves to be silly and have fun, loves music and thinks there is no greater sound than the sound in the world than that of her little boy’s laughter.

Please tell us something about when, how and why you decided to become a writer?

I’ve always wanted to be a writer but never thought I was good enough. I’ve been a nurse for the past 6 years and although there were aspects about nursing I enjoyed I didn’t want to do it for the rest of my life. I read a lot of YA Paranormal books and decided one day to give it a go. The rest is history.

Do you write under a pen name or a pseudonym?

Nope, Quinn Loftis is my name. I almost used my maiden name Quinn Troche’ but decided people would not know how to pronounce it.

Is this your first book you’ve written?

Prince of Wolves, Book 1 in this series is the first novel I have ever written.

Tell me about your new book by telling me about who is your main character and what the plot is briefly about?

The main character’s name is Sally….sort of. I keep all of the main group of characters at the fore front of all the stories so it’s really hard to say who is the main one, but we learn more about Sally in this book and begin to see her love life unfold. At this stage in the series, the couples have been established and their roles in the pack and now they are having to learn how to live in those roles and how to carry out their part. There is an evil witch determined to destroy the wolves, a warlock King who may be bad but may be good. There are twists in the mating pairs, and new supernatural characters, lots of surprises and moments of WTH and I hate you Quinn, but it will all be worth it.

Are you a plotter or a fly by the seat of your pants writer?

I plot out the outline but then as I write the story does its own thing and may veer from the outline a little.

What point of view is the story written in and why?

Omniscient because I like to see what everyone is thinking not just one or two characters. I think it makes the story more complete.

How long did it take you to complete the book?

2 ½ months.

What percentage of your time to you spend writing and reading as opposed to doing other home life related activities?

75-80%.

Do you have a favourite lucky item that is associated with an author such as a cat; a fountain pen; a writing room or a particular hat, scarf or piece of jewellery that you wear?

No, never heard of that before.

What do you do when you are not writing or reading?

Spend time with my family, correspond with readers and bloggers.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

Write, write, write and write some more. Remember you can’t please everyone and try to learn from constructive criticism.
